Cassette LT-1 – Analog Cassette Simulator by quietformat

Cassette LT-1 is a cassette tape simulator focused on tape texture, pitch instability, and the softened frequency response typical of cassette tape, with a simple and direct control layout.

It includes four tape conditions, from clean to damaged, each responding differently in tone and pitch. Depending on the selected condition, the sound can move from subtle warmth and light wow and flutter to more unstable, degraded tape behavior.

A shimmer reverb is included and placed before the tape stage. Since the reverb signal is processed through the tape engine, its tone and stability change along with the tape condition, resulting in anything from clean ambient space to broken, lo-fi textures.

Additional controls cover input and output gain for tape drive, high-pass and low-pass filtering, tilt EQ, stereo spread, and optional tape hiss. The plugin is designed for quick results while still allowing enough control for shaping and experimentation.

Built-in trial mode:
Cassette LT-1 is available as a full plugin download, and all features can be used without limitation for two sessions of 15 minutes each before activation is required.
