BiasEQ: A New Dimension of Saturation Control A key innovation in Colour Saturator is the BiasEQ, a powerful and intuitive way to shape how saturation is distributed across the frequency spectrum. With nine bands and an optional fully parametric expert mode, BiasEQ allows users to emphasise or reduce distortion in specific areas of the sound. For example, it is possible to saturate only the mids of a bass while keeping the lows tight and the highs clean, or to focus additional harmonics on snares and toms in a drum loop while leaving cymbals and kicks largely unaffected. By default, any frequency boost before the distortion is automatically compensated after the saturation stage, helping maintain a balanced overall tone. For particularly precise or extreme modifications, a fully parametric expert mode is also available.
