Katravion Tray Williams shared this video on Facebook, and I was blown away. Katravion took a cover of “Old Ship Of Zion” by Josh Myles and made it his own. What’s super impressive is how he handled all the instruments and vocals.
Nate Marsh graduated from Berklee in 2012 and just finished his Masters of Music at the University of Colorado. He’s published his thesis, “The Influence of Jazz on R&B Electric Bassists of the 1960s and 1970s”, which is publicly available.

Bonnie Raitt recently released her 21st studio album, entitled “Just Like That…” The album features longtime bassist and session legend James “Hutch” Hutchinson. We caught up with Hutch to get the scoop.
Aeon Station visited the KEXP studios in April and performed four tunes. Here they are rocking the song “Air,” with Kevin Whelan and Lysa Opfer on bass.
