I love all the videos Cory Wong puts out. This Tour Vlog is enjoyable from start to finish. The band runs through Earth, Wind & Fire’s “In The Stone” followed by Antwaun Stanley’s “Where Are We Now” during the soundcheck.
Southern rock and blues will be taking the nation by storm as ZZ Top and Lynyrd Skynyrd have announced a new set of dates for their co-headlining tour. The “Sharp Dressed Simple Man” Tour will kick off in March.

Anka Custom Guitars and Basses has unveiled a new bass model called the Noumeno DX. Although it can be ordered with many options, the first iteration of the bass they’ve shared has a stacked set of features.
KEXP is a regular source of new music for me, and I’m really digging this performance by High Pulp. The band, with Kaeli Earle on bass, performed at THING Festival. Here’s “Solanin.”
Orchestral trailblazer Orin O’Brien is the subject of an upcoming documentary called “The Only Girl In The Orchestra.” The 34-minute film will be screened during the DOC NYC Festival, followed by online screenings.

Aguilar Amplification has a tradition of releasing limited edition colors each year, and they’ve just unveiled their latest creation. Rather than a single product, though, they’ve added several color options to much of their lineup.
In this video posted to The Beatles’ YouTube channel yesterday, the story behind “the last Beatles song” (out today) is shared. All told, this story spans over four decades, and it is pretty amazing.
Any set that starts off with a teaser of “Portrait of Tracy” will get my attention. In Jordan Ward’s Tiny Desk Concert, that’s what happened, with the smooth bass lines of Jermaine Paul.
In 2014, three legendary bands came together for a one-night celebration of Tool frontman Maynard James Keenan’s 50th birthday. That event, called “Cinquanta,” has expanded into a fully fledged tour for 2024, which will mark the singer’s 60th birthday.

Ernie Ball Music Man is throwing it back to their earliest years by introducing a new model called the Retro ’70s StingRay Bass Guitar. The new model comes in black, white, vintage sunburst, and heritage natural colorways with mostly classic-inspired features.
Jack Bruce had a unique sense for bass lines and ended up creating some of the most iconic riffs in rock history. The late bassist’s YouTube channel released this archival clip of him playing and singing “Politician” on his own, allowing fans to see how he did it.
Spinal Tap bassist Derek Smalls has announced a new deluxe version of his debut album, “Smalls Change.” Originally released in 2018, the new version will have two new live tracks recorded in 2019 with the Hungarian Studio Orchestra.
