Toontrack releases Southern Funk EZkeys MIDI pack
Today, Toontrack announced the release of the Southern Funk EZkeys MIDI pack, a new MIDI expansion for EZkeys inspired by the funk scene that emerged from New Orleans in the ‘60s.

About the Southern Funk EZkeys MIDI pack

Starting in the 1960s, a new and funkier sound began to emerge from New Orleans. While deeply rooted in the musical heritage of the city, it was fresh and completely reimagined the jazz and blues roots it drew on. Today, it’s obvious how much this syncopated, rhythm-driven and exploratory sound helped lay the foundation for countless genres to come – from hip-hop to fusion and well beyond.

This MIDI pack takes you straight back to the heyday of the 1960s and ‘70s to bring you a slice of piano/keyboard parts inspired by that time, that sound and that vibe. Expect anything from greasy grooves full of syncopated jabs and staccato-like riffs that put the keys front and center to smooth chord progressions that kick back and let the rest of your instrumentation shine.

With the right sounds assigned, this MIDI pack will have your songs oozing with soul, grit and bite. All you need to do now is tune in… and funk out!
