Lobith-Audio updates Chop-R - adds fine tuning of slices and audio export

Wednesday October 15, 2025. 03:11 PM , from KVR Audio
Lobith-Audio has updated updates Chop-R, adding the ability to fine tune slices. Lobith-Audio explains: In July we officially released Chop-R and received great feedback. But one wish stood out: 'One thing I'd like to see is the ability to tweaks the slices manually while maintaining their position in the sequence.' So we took it to us and worked hard to make this possible: you can drag now the beginning and the length of each individual slice. In order to keep our intelligent random algorithms working, the slices still play in the grid. But now, if the beat does not hit exactly on the grid or the snare might be slightly early, you can fine tune the timing, giving you a lot more flexibility to adjust for wandering tempos. To modify the beginning of a slice, click and drag right of the divider, and to modify the end, click and drag right. Ctrl+click lets you audition the slice and double click resets to the original positions. With the new version another often requested feature, audio export, has been added. You can now render the current pattern to an audio clip, by dragging it on your timeline or folder. For this update Lobith-Audio reset all demos, so you can enjoy a new 14 days demo period with no limitations. Read More
