WeissKlang releases the L1 Plus LDC Microphone

Following the success of the L1, WeissKlang introduce the WeissKlang L1 Plus – an advanced large-diaphragm condenser microphone featuring switchable polar patterns and uncompromising sound quality.

The L1 Plus was developed in close collaboration with experienced sound engineers and producers – with the aim of combining maximum flexibility, highest resolution, and a natural sonic character in a compact, professional format.

Engineering meets versatility

At the heart of the L1 Plus lies the dual-diaphragm WMK-1D capsule. Based on the original WMK-1 design, it offers a precisely tuned frequency response, a presence lift around 10–11 kHz, and a natural, transparent sound – now with cardioid, omnidirectional, and figure-8 patterns.

This allows the L1 Plus to be perfectly adapted to any recording situation: speech, vocals, instruments, room ambience, or stereo techniques such as Mid/Side and Blumlein.

Precision without compromise

The transformerless circuit design, built with carefully selected components, achieves a self-noise of just 4 dB-A. Transients are captured in only 14 microseconds – ensuring a high-resolution reproduction of the finest details.

Manufactured in Germany, the L1 Plus features a robust, low-resonance body.

The toggle switch is easily accessible, durable, and engages with a clearly defined click – for reliable switching without compromise.
