Shy audio releases Shy 90s Dynamix and updates Shy 90s Channel
Shy audio drops its latest plugin: Shy 90s Dynamix, a character-rich compressor plugin inspired by the affordable rack gear of the 90s that powered countless loops, grooves, and underground hits.

At Shy audio, we aim to bring the feeling of a hardware-based bedroom studio into your modern setup — where compressors weren’t about surgical precision, but about vibe, rhythm, and energy. The Shy 90s Dynamix is built on the same philosophy: it’s inspired by the budget rack units that producers used to inject their loops with groove and attitude, often pushing them far beyond the manuals ever intended.

Whether you're using it to subtly glue a drum bus or fully squash a loop into classic French house territory, Shy 90s Dynamix adapts. Its custom multi-envelope engine responds musically to your input, delivering snappy, flowing compression — especially at lower thresholds. Thanks to its flexible modes, it also works beautifully as a general-purpose mix compressor capable of handling almost any task.

With its snappy gate for tight control or rhythmic chopping, and a limiter with ultra-fast fixed timing to cleanly cut peaks or completely squash your audio, plus a fully phase-aligned dry/wet control, you’ve got a flexible powerhouse that goes from smooth to slamming with just a few knob turns.

Features:Custom multi-envelope compression engine for snappy, groove-rich behavior
Switchable Hard/Soft knee and adaptive RMS mode

Also just updated:

Shy 90s Channel has been updated to version 1.2.0, introducing A/B mode and the all-new Flux mode, which

replaces the original “NZ” switch. Flux brings subtle left/right fluctuation without any audible noise — along

with a range of under-the-hood improvements.
