Convex Audio updates Atrium to v1.2 and makes macOS announcement

Thursday December 18, 2025. 07:01 PM , from KVR Audio
Convex Audio has released a major update for Atrium and shared macOS support news. Atrium's 1.2.0 version is now available for download. The update is free for all existing customers. Changes include: Major graphical user interface (GUI) updates to improve clarity and aesthetics. Light mode option for alternative GUI colours. Number of trackable synchronised instances increased to 32 from 16. A new 'Binaural delay compensation' feature. The new 'Binaural delay compensation' feature is a synchronisable option to improve the user experience for users who want to export projects in both stereo and mono. It is a quality-of-life feature that removes the binaural delays, which is useful whenever there is a mono sound source that is off-center from the listener, as this very specific configuration may lead to undesirable artefacts if mixed back to mono. Atrium's 1.2.0 version also includes a demo mode. Convex Audio also announced that they are close to releasing Atrium for macOS (AU and VST3). They are aiming to release the macOS versions (for both Intel and Apple Silicon Macs) by the end of the year, so keep your eyes out. Read More
