Noisebud has released 360, a free full-range phase rotator designed for mixing engineers who want to mess or fix phase problems — or shape the stereo image — using only phase rotation. Unlike traditional all-pass based designs that affect only a narrow frequency range, 360 rotates the entire signal equally across all frequencies. Its unique twist is that you can choose to rotate the entire stereo signal, or just the left or right channel. This makes it possible to tweak the stereo image similar to the HAAS effect — but without introducing any delay or echo artifacts. As long as the rotation stays moderate (around 50 degrees or less), the signal remains phase-safe, mono compatible, and even vinyl-safe.
