Native Instruments has announced the release of Odes, the third entry in its Evolution series, following the releases of Lores and Fables. Designed to add tension and enhance narrative expression through rhythm and layered motion, Odes is a cinematic instrument intended for creating dynamic and emotional stories through sound. Odes lets you construct an eclectic ensemble from a collection of instruments sourced from across different cultures, including Mongolian horse fiddles and tenor recorders. The instrument is built around a three-layer engine, where each layer can host an instrument with independent looping rhythms and one-shots. The combination of these layers aims to produce a living, rhythmic soundscape.
