Dystopian Waves Releases Celium II Granular Texture Engine and Auren Pro Spectral Delay for Max for Live
Friday October 10, 2025. 07:34 PM , from KVR Audio
Dystopian Waves has announced the release of Celium II and Auren Pro, two new Max for Live devices designed for creative sound processing and performance within the Ableton Live environment. Celium II - Granular Atmospheres Celium II is an evolution of the original Celium device, rebuilt with deeper control and an improved workflow. It's a creative granular texture and morphing engine that can transform audio sources into evolving atmospheres, cinematic soundscapes, or rhythmic glitch textures. A significant addition is the new Instrument Mode, which allows users to trigger grains via a MIDI controller or the piano roll for a more expressive, note-based performance. Samples can now also be loaded directly into the freeze buffers for immediate granulation. New features in Celium II: Instrument Mode: Trigger grains with MIDI for expressive, note-based performance. Sample Loading: Select or drag samples directly into freeze buffers. Resizable Freeze Buffers: Adjust the buffer size to fit your workflow. Native Ableton Controls: All parameters are now fully mappable and project-safe. Preset Section: Save, load, and smoothly morph between two presets. Updated layout and improved performance. Auren Pro - Creative Spectral Delay Auren Pro expands upon the original Auren, introducing multi-source delays, dual band-splitting algorithms, and an extensive modulation system. The device combines elements of a grainy spectral delay with reverb and animated movement. At its core, Auren Pro features two delay lines, each capable of accepting multiple audio sources. Blend controls allow for seamless transitions between these sources, while Shuffle Sequencers can creatively automate the source selection for each frequency band. Key Features of Auren Pro: Multi-Source Delays: Delay 1 accepts two audio sources; Delay 2 accepts four. Blend Controls: Mix between sources for smooth or glitchy transitions. Shuffle Sequencers: Control source selection for each band with evolving patterns. Independent Modulation: Each sequencer can have unique movement and randomization. Dual Band-Splitting Algorithms: Choose between different spectral routing methods. Adjustable Band Counts: Control the number of frequency bands for each delay. Native Ableton Controls: Full mapping and project saving for all parameters. Pricing & Availability Both devices are available now. For a limited time, Celium II is available for $13.50 (Reg. $30). Owners of the original Celium can download the new version for free from their account. For a limited time, Auren Pro is available for $6.00. Read More
