Stagecraft Software presents Parity EQ, a highly automatable EQ
Monday September 29, 2025. 08:56 PM , from Gearslutz
![]() Parity EQ, however, is designed entirely around filter movement. With a toolkit of flexible automations, you can create all kinds of sweeps and filterscapes that move in time with the audio, slowly build, respond to triggers, or follow a step sequencer. You start off using Parity EQ like any other EQ, adding and moving around multiple points to shape the tone, with cutoff slopes up to 96 dB/octave and common templates like high- or low-passes. Where it gets interesting, though, is when you start linking Parity EQ’s parameters to the 4 different mods: ADSR, LFO, envelope follower, and aforementioned step sequencer. Every point on the curve can be moved using these mods, whether it’s the frequency, gain, or Q factor, and each mod has their own unique use cases, so it’s great for making all kinds of creative filters. For example, if you want to make a filter that opens up as a synth gets more intense, the envelope follower can use the synth’s gain to increase the frequency and gain of each point. Or for a filter that quickly shifts with every hit of a drum, you can set a gain trigger with the ADSR and link it to the frequencies. You can even create automations by just hitting the record button and dragging a point around. The plugin comes with a large selection of presets showing off the various automation and mod features, so anyone can jump in and get started with creating something really fun. Quick sound demo
