Body Synths Releases Metal Fetishist Firmware Update v2.0
Friday September 12, 2025. 06:42 PM , from Gearslutz
![]() Body Synths has released firmware v2.0 for the Metal Fetishist, a major update that adds new ways to play and shape sound. The instrument can now be played directly via MIDI, and a new Settings Menu brings all the expanded features together. The update introduces an optional second oscillator with an octave switch, alternative effects (Phaser, Flanger, Chorus), and a new Dry/Wet Mixer for the Distortion and Effects section. The sequencer gains new lengths, including odd steps like 3, 5, and 7. The step-modulation produced by the instrument’s random sequencer has also been extended to control parameters such as volume decay time, pitch decay amount, cutoff decay amount, volume, and the Rust/Corrosion effect parameter. A 30-minute walk-through video and updated manual are now available on the Body Synths website, covering all the new features in detail. Firmware v2.0 is freely available for all Metal Fetishist owners. Release Notes and Firmware Update: https://firmware.bodysynths.com Attached Thumbnails
