Dystopian Waves releases Auren – Free Spectral Delay for Max for Live
Dystopian Waves has released Auren, a free Max for Live spectral delay designed for sound designers, producers, and experimental musicians. Unlike traditional delay effects, Auren processes audio in the frequency domain, applying delay independently across 20 frequency bands.

The device includes two independent delays and supports two audio sources, with flexible routing options:

Parallel Mode: One source to each delay.

Series Mode (Cascade): The output of the first delay feeds into the second.

Each delay features a multi-band sequencer for drawing delay curves, randomizing steps, and adding smooth movement. Additional tools include frequency shifting, and a built-in reverb.

Key Features:

Dual multi-band spectral delay taps.

Parallel and Series routing modes.

Frequency and bin shifting per band.

Draw, Random, and Smooth step modes.

Built-in reverb section.

Curve mapping for precise band resolution.

Compatibility: Ableton Live 11.3.0 or later, including Live 12.
