Monday September 1, 2025. 04:40 AM , from KVR Audio
Dystopian Waves has released Auren, a Max for Live spectral delay designed for sound designers, producers, and experimental musicians. Unlike traditional delay effects, Auren processes audio in the frequency domain, applying delay independently 20 different frequency bands. The device includes two independent delay taps and supports two audio sources, with flexible routing options: Parallel Mode: One source to each delay tap. Series Mode (Cascade): The output of the first tap feeds into the second. Each delay tap features a multi-band sequencer for drawing delay curves, randomizing steps, and adding smooth movement to each step/band. Additional tools include frequency shifting, and a built-in reverb section. Key Features: Dual multi-band spectral delay taps. Parallel and Series routing modes. Frequency shifting per band. Draw, Random, and Smooth movement step modes. Built-in reverb section. Curve mapping for precise band resolution. Compatibility: Ableton Live 11.3.0 or later, including Live 12. Pricing Auren is available for free. Walkthrough Read More
