Logic Pro X 11.2 – Static Noise in Right Channel When Moving Mouse (MacBook Pro M2 Max)
Thursday July 3, 2025. 09:25 PM , from Gearslutz
Hey everyone,
I’m running into a strange issue and wondering if anyone else has experienced this or found a fix. Setup: Logic Pro X 11.2 MacBook Pro 2023 (Apple M2 Max, 32GB RAM) macOS Sonoma 15.5 (just upgraded from Ventura 13.x – issue persists) Using built-in trackpad and external mouse Running on battery and also tested plugged in – issue occurs in both cases Using external audio interface, and just the computer interface (if relevant, happy to list) Problem: Whenever I move my mouse, either the trackpad or an external USB/Bluetooth mouse, I get a faint static noise only in the right audio channel. It’s subtle but definitely there and only happens when using Logic Pro. No issues in other DAWs like Ableton or Pro Tools. This has been consistent across OS versions, mouse types, and power sources. It doesn’t seem tied to my interface or monitors, and it sounds like some kind of interference or digital noise specific to Logic. Has anyone else run into this issue? Any insights or fixes? Thanks in advance. Josh
