This seems cool, haven't seen the post here yet...
I have been of the strong opinion that the PA Alpha Plugin was due for a serious reworking. Apparently they completely remodeled it. I found that it did not stand up to the original HW well at all, so to learn that this is brand new from the ground up is exciting to me personally.

I may be able to compare it to the Alpha Hardware either tonight or tomorrow, if anyone is interested. Kind of thought about starting a youtube channel to do such things (I am in the fortunate position to be able to compare a lot of hardware to their plugin counterparts) but honestly it seems like such a massive PITA, video editing, blah blah blah, so I might just upload it here. From what I can hear, it seems to sounds really good
