XILS-Lab releases XILS DeeS 2.0 Update

XILS-Lab takes the s(tress) out of sibilance and plosives with transparent de-esser plug-in par excellence

Music software company XILS-lab is proud to announce availability of a major update of the XILS DeeS — an easy-to-use de-esser plug-in for rapidly ridding voice recordings of all sibilant and plosive related defects while powerfully preserving precious characteristics to produce perfect sounding results.

XILS Dees detects sibilances and plosives independently, for altering, adapting, or applying polish to the character of voices with those three independent EQ’ing paths, processed by acclaimed XILS-Lab analogue-style, zero-delay feedback filters.

Unlike traditional de-essing tools, XILS DeeS does not result in unwanted, unnatural-sounding filter sweeping effects yet users can get truly creative with almost endless possibilities.

With these two stages detection, XILS DeeS can also be used to adapt transients as hi-hats or cymbals, for example, or even slap bass by EQ’ing the more metallic-sounding element of such sounds
