Producely Annouces Dialr - AI-powered Controller for Audio Plugins
Wednesday June 11, 2025. 04:30 PM , from KVR Audio
Producely has announced the release of Dialr, what they're calling the world's first AI-powered controller for audio plugins. This new hardware is designed for music producers, musicians, and sound designers who want immediate, hands-on control over their VST3 and AU plugins without the usual hassle of manual mapping. Dialr claims to tackle a common frustration in plugin control; parameter mapping. When a plugin loads in your Digital Audio Workstation (DAW), Dialr's system automatically maps its parameters to 12 analog knobs. The parameter names, values, and even different pages are then shown on a 7-inch touchscreen. Behind the scenes, Producely Cloud uses AI to look at how plugins are built, creating custom profiles for each one you own. These profiles are downloaded to your computer right away, aiming for seamless control whether you're opening an instrument or an effect plugin. Parameter mapping kills creativity - we all hate it. That's really where Dialr started. I wanted to sit down, open any plugin, and just start turning knobs. No setup, no learning curve. Auto-mapping should feel like you have an assistant who already knows every plugin in your collection. That's what Dialr's AI cloud gives you, great mappings, always ready. Morten Søderquist Li, Founder & CEO of Producely Key Features of Dialr: Universal compatibility with VST3 and AU plugins. An AI-powered mapping engine that gets automatic updates from the cloud. An offline mode that stores profiles locally, so it works perfectly even without internet. Software and hardware designed to help you build muscle memory. 12 analog rotary knobs with high-resolution potentiometers. A 7-inch touchscreen that displays parameter names, values, track names, and plugins. A robust design with a solid aluminum enclosure and a 4U rack-mountable form factor. Cross-platform support for macOS and Windows, currently working with Ableton Live and Cubase, with more DAWs on the way. Producely designed Dialr's software and hardware together to support intuitive, repeatable workflows. Each plugin profile has a consistent layout; this means common parameters—like Input Gain, Frequency, or Wet/Dry—always show up in the same places across different plugins. The 12 knobs are arranged in two rows and come in three different sizes, making them easy to identify by touch. This consistent layout, combined with clear touchscreen feedback, helps users quickly build muscle memory. The goal is for Dialr to become a natural extension of your workflow, whether you're in the studio or performing live. Muscle memory is what makes hardware feel like a natural part of your hands. That's why Dialr's knobs have different sizes and common parameters are mapped to the same knobs. Your fingers find the right controls without you even thinking about it, Morten Søderquist Li, Founder & CEO of Producely Dialr is designed as a universal controller, not tied to a closed ecosystem, a specific DAW, or just one plugin suite. The idea is to put your entire plugin library at your fingertips, regardless of what you use. No more manual parameter mapping, no more guesswork—just creative flow. The best technology is almost invisible. You don't even notice the mapping, because it's already done when you open the plugin. Auto-mapping makes the gear disappear so you can focus on the music. This is how creating should feel. Pricing and Availability: Dialr is available for order now at www.producely.com. A limited first batch is already in production and will begin shipping in June 2025.
