Roland and Drum Workshop (DW) announce DrumLink wireless system

Tuesday May 13, 2025. 12:37 PM , from KVR Audio
Roland, in partnership with Drum Workshop (DW), has announced the official release of the DrumLink wireless system and related products. DrumLink is a new wireless triggering technology developed for electronic pads, cymbals, and drum triggers. The modular system is designed to streamline connectivity for faster setup and a cleaner look for both Roland V-Drums kits and hybrid acoustic-electronic configurations. The proprietary DrumLink system is designed specifically for drumming applications, aiming to provide fast response and stable performance equivalent to analog triggering. It supports up to 30 active instruments simultaneously, depending on the sound source, and is compatible with a range of hybrid, electronic, and software-based drumming setups. The DrumLink system features two core components: the WT-10 Wireless Trigger Adapter and the DH-10 DrumLink Hub. Supported sound sources include the Roland V71, TD-50X, and TD-27 sound modules, SPD-SX Pro Sampling Pad, and the DW Soundworks software instrument. The WT-10 also facilitates the integration of Roland pads into Drum Workshop's DWe acoustic-electronic wireless convertible drums. WT-10 Wireless Trigger Adapter The WT-10 converts analog trigger outputs from compatible Roland drum/cymbal pads and acoustic drum triggers into wireless signals. It features two inputs supporting single- and dual-trigger pads, allowing connection of two pads per unit. A single cymbal with two outputs can be connected for bow/bell/edge triggering, and hi-hat pads with two trigger/control outputs are also supported. The integrated mount is adjustable for attachment to drum/pad rims, bass drum hoops, and cymbal/hi-hat stands. DH-10 DrumLink Hub The DH-10 DrumLink Hub is a compact unit that receives trigger signals from up to 15 WT-10 units. These signals are sent to a sound module or computer via a USB-C connection. The DH-10 also includes a TRS MIDI output for sending trigger signals to any sound source that accepts MIDI note messages and CC data. Roland V-Cymbals for DWe Convertible Drum Sets The Roland 4CY-4WT-01 DrumLink Cymbal Pack provides a solution for adding Roland electronic cymbals to a DWe acoustic-electronic wireless convertible drum set. This pack includes three CY-16R-T crash/ride pads, one VH-10 V-Hi-Hat pad, and four WT-10 Wireless Trigger Adapters, which communicate with the DWe kit's DrumLink Wireless Hub. Drum Workshop also offers complete four- and five-piece DWe kit bundles that include Roland V-Cymbals and WT-10 units. Pricing and Availability Roland Drumlink products are available now from Thomann. YouTube/295jOhHlicw Read More
