Overvoltage - Organs & Oddities - on intro price
The Norwegian sample library developer Wrongtools has announced the release of Overvoltage, a characterful Kontakt library built from vintage transistor organs and shaped by an arsenal of eccentric analog gear. Overvoltage is a wild, living sound library intentionally designed to go beyond what you've heard before.

"The world probably doesn't need another organ sample library," says the team at Wrongtools. "But we had to make this one anyway."

With 80 distinct patches and over 1,200 samples recorded through vintage amps, spring reverb tanks, car speakers, and even a telephone hacked into a mic preamp, Overvoltage captures the untamed energy of organs pushed far past their comfort zone.

"We believe there's still so much left to explore," the creators explain.

"We're surrounded by these beautiful old organs, and we have a studio full of strange, dusty gear just waiting to be misused."

Overvoltage avoids sterile sounds in favor of vivid, unpredictable textures. Recorded through a Studer console, Raytheon RL10, plastic amps, and lo-fi gadgets, each patch carries a gritty realism with a cinematic edge. Almost every sound is soaked in spring reverb — a deliberate choice.

"We're hopelessly in love with their unpredictable spiooongs, " Wrongtools says.

While the patches includes features like modwheel-controlled dynamics, filter and FX settings, and a resizable interface, it never loses its raw, acoustic gritt.

"We didn't set out to make something boring. We set out to make something alive. We hope it sparks something in you too."
