Tracktion Presents StageBox
Tuesday April 1, 2025. 12:33 PM , from Gearslutz
![]() Tracktion Corporation presents StageBox, a standalone app for Mac and PC that simplifies plug-in hosting for live keyboard players. Your Rig Your Way StageBox is a standalone plugin host and setlist manager for live keyboard players, designed to simplify performance and provide studio-quality sound on stage with no compromises. With StageBox, you can take your favourite software instruments and effects plugins on stage, and create dream keyboard rigs not possible with traditional stage pianos. For stage-based keys players who are adapting studio material made with plugins, they can use exactly the same instruments and effect chains that made it to the master recordings. The Creative Team Behind StageBox StageBox is the brain child of Matt Robertson, a 3x Grammy-nominated composer, musical director and software developer. He has contributed to records by The Prodigy, Lamb, Dido, Emiliana Torrini and Anoushka Shankar, and has Musically Directed live shows for artists like Björk, Anohni, Arca, The Cinematic Orchestra, and Ellie Goulding. Frustrated with using the overly complicated or compromised stage solutions currently available, Matt developed StageBox with the legendary Jules Storer, creator of the JUCE framework, Tracktion engine and CMajor language to name just a few. The combination of Matt's professional experience and Jules extensive development expertise has allowed for a uniquely elegant, efficient and powerful piece of live plug-in hosting software. Live Hosting Simplified StageBox hosts VST3 and AU virtual instruments and effects plugins, and provides audio routing and MIDI mapping control so users can customise their live rigs and setlists. Groups of plugins are stored as Sounds, which can be linked to Songs, which in turn can be arranged into Setlists. Different Setlists can be saved and recalled with just a few clicks, and Sounds, Songs and Setlists can be tweaked on the fly, giving performing musicians the flexibility to adapt their rig to the specific venue and show. StageBox software leverages the processing power, storage capacity and available RAM of the computer it is running on, to allow users to take large sample-based instruments — such as pianos and orchestral libraries — on the road with them. Quote from software designer Matt Robertson about the genesis of StageBox “After spending years on the road with touring musicians, I had the realization that some of the tools used in live show environments are not specifically made for the job in hand. So I set out to make software that is targeted directly at solving the problems encountered in live music performance.” StageBox is both macOS and Windows compatible and can be purchased for just $89 before 13/04/25 (regular price $129) For more information and a fully functional 30-day free demo visit - https://www.tracktion.com/products/stagebox Attached Thumbnails
