Rupert Neve Designs Announces the RNDI-M Active Transformer Direct Interface
The RNDI-M brings the stunning tone & clarity of its award-winning counterparts to an even more compact and pedalboard-friendly format, with the exact same custom Rupert Neve Designs transformers and discrete FET input stage as the best-selling RNDI, RNDI-S and RNDI-8.

With over tens of thousands of channels shipped since its launch in 2015, Rupert Neve Designs’ RNDI Active Transformer Direct Interface is firmly established as the DI of choice for many of the world’s most discerning musicians and engineers. With the exact same custom Rupert Neve Designs transformers and discrete FET input stage as the acclaimed RNDI, RNDI-S and RNDI-8, the new RNDI-M brings the tone & clarity of its award-winning counterparts to an even more compact and pedalboard-friendly format.

The RNDI-M provides instrument direct injection for electric guitar & basses, synthesizers, keyboards, piezo pickups, or any other instrument-level source. The discrete, Class-A circuit topology is built around Rupert Neve Designs’ custom transformers, resulting in outstanding sonic performance and strikingly natural sound from below 5Hz all the way up to well beyond 90kHz. It can handle input levels up to +20.5dBu; the low impedance, transformer-coupled output stage drives long lines with minimal loss; and the rugged steel chassis is designed for a lifetime of stage and studio use.

“The heart of our RNDI circuit is its custom-designed output transformer, which adds musically relevant harmonics that enhance the richness of the original signal and provide a distinctly musical response,” says Rupert Neve Designs. “Coupled with giant headroom, wide bandwidth and unquestionable reliability, the RNDI has found its place in studios and on stages all over the world. By streamlining its feature set and housing the electronics in a rugged and more compact chassis, the RNDI-M fits neatly into any space and will allow even more musicians and engineers to tap into the uncompromised sonic power and vibrancy of a Rupert Neve Designs DI.”

The RNDI-M is now shipping worldwide, with a manufacturer’s suggested retail price of $199 USD / €198 EUR / £166 GBP (all prices exclude local taxes).
