New Griffon Microphone GMT-220C
Griffon Microphones

GMT-220C

The French microphone manufacturer updates the 220 model with the third generation of pre-polarized capsule microphones.

This new version completes its range of small, medium, and large capsule microphones, suitable for both studio and live applications.

The major change in this version lies in the transition from an electronic balancing system (AOP) to high-end transformer balancing, designed by the Swedish manufacturer Lundahl.®

A new electronic circuit has been specifically developed, incorporating Toshiba's latest-generation silicon transistors.

The microphone body, machined from aluminum and brass, adopts a miniaturized design inspired by the new GMT-70 and GMT-70 "air filter type" series.

This microphone is equipped with the same 14 mm medium cardioid pre-polarized capsule, made in Japan, as found in the MK1 and MK2 versions, renowned for its smooth high frequencies and warm low-midrange.

The sound of the 220 is as smooth as a ribbon microphone but without the drawbacks of overly pronounced bass. It stands out for its remarkable sensitivity and very low noise, comparable to that of a condenser microphone.

This microphone offers exceptional versatility: whether for vocals, instruments, podcasting, or live streaming, it adapts to any situation with unmatched sound quality.

The microphone comes with an aluminum case, a "mini swivel" mic clip, and the necessary documentation.
