We are pleased to announce MidiShaper 1.6 – a modern update of a cult classic Cableguys plugin.

Way back in 2011, we released MidiShaper – an advanced MIDI modulation plugin that brings Cableguys' awesome drawable LFOs to your favorite MIDI CC-controllable synths, effects and hardware.

Now we've powered it up for 2024 with MidiShaper 1.6. We've given it a slick modern interface. The latest LFO drawing from our other plugins like ShaperBox. Apple Silicon and VST 3 compatibility. And more.

Designed for advanced MIDI power users, now you can expand your setup with the most flexible modulation curves imaginable.

MidiShaper v1.6 replaces any existing installation of v1.5.1. Please note the breaking changes in the Changelog.txt.

What's New

Modernized Interface

A slick new interface lets you take control of MIDI modulation like never before. As well as a modernized design, there are handy refinements like AHDSR envelope visualization, easier LFO timing setup and MIDI input LEDs. It’s resizable and Retina-ready, of course.

Easier LFO Drawing

Animate any MIDI-controllable parameter with Cableguys' famous LFO drawing tools. Now featuring the same powerful LFO editing as used in ShaperBox, you’ll draw shapes in a flash with a flexible Pointer tool, paint with Pens, get inspired by Wave Presets, and more.

Global Copy/Paste

LFOs can now be copy/pasted globally across all instances of MidiShaper – and even between instances of ShaperBox and FilterShaper XL.

Improved Compatibility

As well as the existing AU and VST versions, MidiShaper now comes in VST 3 format, and has native Apple Silicon compatibility. FXP presets can now be loaded and saved via the Main Menu.
