About the Progressive Power MIDI pack A great progressive metal drummer needs to master the art of rhythm and minute timing while juggling feel, mind-bending coordination and delicate phrasing. Someone who’s got all of that and then some is Canadian virtuoso Ryan Van Poederooyen. Known from his tenure in the Devin Townsend Project, his rock-solid beat and ability to seamlessly switch between unhinged sprees of speed, complex rhythmic mathematics and delicately expressed fusion-tinged grooves has cemented his name as one of the consummate progressive drummers of the last decade. Comprising 15 fundamentally different “songs,” this collection of grooves and fills for EZdrummer and Superior Drummer will give you a broad palette of eclectic drum parts inspired by a wide range of progressive material. Be it for starting points for new riff ideas or building full song structures around, this is a MIDI pack that spans the full range of parts you’ll need to get started on any progressive metal endeavor you’re envisioning.
