I have a Rhodes Mark One Stage 73 that I have modified quite a bit, and I'd like to sample it as best as I can. I know that it won't be exactly like the real thing, so let's skip that part of the discussion. I just want some advice for recording the actual samples. Every note? Minor thirds? Tritones? How many levels of dynamics? How do you get the dynamics consistent? Tone controls? Is it really necessary to sample at higher than 44.1K?
I haven't done any sampling since I had my Emulator ONE in the early 80's, so any advice is welcome.
You can hear this Rhodes on this video:
TIA!
