Vienna Symphonic Library releases New Duality Strings Essentials
Duality Strings Essentials brings you the best of both worlds: the lush, cinematic sound of Hollywood-proven strings and the intimate, immediate tone of smaller ensembles, all in one powerful and accessible package.

Vienna, November 8, 2024 – The Vienna Symphonic Library is pleased to announce a new string virtual instrument, a new free instrument, and an unprecedented promotion, as the Austrian company celebrates their completely redesigned online presence at https://www.vsl.co.at

New: Duality Strings Essentials

This new entry-level library features the lush, cinematic sound of Hollywood-proven strings, recorded in the large Stage A of Vienna Synchron Stage, and the intimate, immediate tone of smaller ensembles, recorded at Stage B of the company’s own scoring stage. Sporting Vienna’s new acclaimed Flow View, playing has never been more intuitive and enjoyable. This streamlined edition of Vienna’s acclaimed Synchron Duality Strings provides a perfect balance of a versatile and expressive string sound, offering a carefully curated set of articulations for effortless playability – all at an introductory price of just $156.

The Flow View offers an intuitive interface that places all essential controls right at the user’s fingertips. Automated articulation switching based on playing speed and velocity, along with easy sound customization, make it a breeze to focus entirely on the music. Adjusting the balance between the large ensemble in Stage A and the smaller section in Stage B, fine-tuning reverb, Humanization, timbre, note transitions, and note attack – it’s all easily accessible within the Flow View. For users who want to delve deeper, the previous GUI of the Synchron Player, now dubbed Precision View, is still available for access to more features and tweaking options.

The two string ensembles were recorded simultaneously at Vienna Synchron Stage, with the larger ensemble in the Hollywood-proven Stage A and the smaller one in the drier Stage B. Both ensembles performed together, with the conductor on the podium in Stage A also directing the ensemble in Stage B via video monitors. And that’s where the magic happens! With the musicians’ ability to hear each other from different rooms, all musical aspects of their performances are perfectly in sync, such as volume, timbre, vibrato, note length, and phrasing. This setup lets users seamlessly blend the rich, resonant sound of a full ensemble with the clear detail of a smaller group.

New Free Instrumnet: Angelic Choir

Recorded in the controlled acoustics of Vienna’s Silent Stage, these 16 angelic voices deliver not only a pure, radiant sound but also bring a touch of divine beauty to every production. The expertly crafted mixer presets make it effortless to position these voices in any acoustic space – from intimate rooms to lush concert halls to grand cathedrals. Additional FX presets provide a range of tonal colors and reverberation options, allowing for creative flexibility across genres and atmospheres.

New Promotion: Choose Your Vienna, at 50%, 40%, 30% Off
