Easy acoustical ceiling clouds

I'm having a project where I need to work in an acoustically poor, cramped bedroom with an 8-foot ceiling, and the ceiling reflections were really bothering me. I tried setting up an outdoor pergola inside the room as acoustical clouds (drop ceiling?), and it worked very well, so I thought I’d share my experience.
It's much easier than hanging things from the ceiling, and it’s easy to take down quickly too. The structure is quite sturdy, so you can place bass traps on it, and it’s effective even without acoustic foam—just putting something simple like pillows on top makes a noticeable difference. If you're renting a space, this would be a great option. You can also attach acoustical wall materials between pillars if you add some simple structures.
