Korg Launches Pitchstrap strap-mounted tuner
Korg launches Pitchstrap: the world’s first strap-mounted tuner for guitar and bass.

Korg is thrilled to introduce the Pitchstrap, the world’s first strap-mounted tuner. This latest addition to Korg’s renowned tuner lineup provides guitarists and bassists with a completely new approach to tuning, one that seamlessly integrates into any performance setup. Designed with precision and style in mind, the Pitchstrap picks up string vibrations directly through the guitar or bass strap, eliminating the need for headstock clips and preserving the instrument’s look.

The Pitchstrap continues Korg’s legacy of leading tuner innovation, which began in 1975 with the world’s first handheld, battery-powered tuner, the WT-10. Korg’s decades-long commitment to tuning excellence has led to a diverse lineup of tuners for different instruments and environments, continually advancing the standard for precision and usability in tuning technology.

The Pitchstrap offers musicians a tuner that’s both powerful and discreet. It features Korg’s advanced vibration-detection technology, which accurately senses string vibrations through the strap itself. The result is fast, reliable tuning without the need to attach anything to the instrument’s body, giving musicians an experience that’s both practical and visually unobtrusive.

Crafted with a stainless-steel body available in silver, gold, and black, the Pitchstrap is as stylish as it is functional. Its slim, lightweight design integrates perfectly with any strap, adding a touch of elegance to the musician’s setup. It stays securely in place during performances, allowing players to move freely while maintaining access to their tuner.

The Pitchstrap’s highly visible display includes several tuning modes tailored to different performance needs. Regular Mode provides classic needle-based tuning, while Strobe Mode delivers ultra-precision, accurate within ±0.1 cents. The Guitar & Bass Navigation Mode automatically moves to the next string as each is tuned, streamlining the tuning process during rehearsals or on stage.

A USB-rechargeable battery rounds out the Pitchstrap’s design, providing up to 8 hours of continuous use on a single charge. With a quick 1-hour recharge time and an included USB cable, musicians can count on the Pitchstrap to be ready whenever they need it.

“The Pitchstrap brings is the perfect tuner for musicians looking for style and precision,” said Alan Scally, Head of Guitar Category. “Drawing on Korg’s deep history of tuner innovation, the Pitchstrap offers precise, hands-free tuning in a strap-mounted design that enhances both function and form. It’s an exciting new tool for today’s players.”
