Desperate for Simple Advice: Struggling to Find a Mic That Filters Traffic Noise for Remote Work
Friday November 1, 2024. 02:37 AM , from Gearslutz
Hello, I hope you are feeling very well.
I am a project management professional and I have nothing to do with audio issues and all these wonderful things that you can do with audio. However, in view of my frustration at not finding answers on the internet or from providers or other options, I am forced to enter this wonderful site to try to find answers to what I am looking for. It turns out that I am a person who works remotely (virtual work), but about two days a week I have to travel with my son so that he can do some therapies that he has to do week by week. It turns out that while he is in his therapies, his parents allow us to go to the terrace of the building, this terrace has a roof and I can work on the computer and I have live meetings with other people who work with me, including my boss, But I have the big problem that when they listen to me and how 250 meters away there is an important avenue in the city and busy with a lot of traffic, the noise coming from vehicular movement and vehicular traffic is heard by the people who are on the other side of the line. I have looked at a couple of options, the PodMic, the Hollyland Lark M2... but I don't want a microphone that is oversized, I just want the audio to be filtered with that type of noise, I don't need to talk at great distances from the receiver, I just want to filter out noise from vehicular traffic. I would greatly appreciate it if you can give me any timely suggestions. Sorry if I make this story uncomfortable, but I don't want to buy a solution that is oversized. I really appreciate the help.:rockout: Best, Zhipa.
