Phoenix Nicerizer Junior "+8" button, needs clarification..

Hello to everyone,

I've done some search here but I'm not able to find the information I require so, here I am:

I found a good deal on a nicerizer junior, it seems a great unit for what I need sonically but I would ask other nicerizer users here, speaking about the "drive technology" in the input channels I would like to know:

when I press the "+8" button on a channel to push the input stage into saturation, I would have the same channel also attenuated by a given value before it hits the summing stage?

because if not, that channel of course would sound more saturated but also louder than others in the mix, creating problems in balancing other intrument again and so on, because there is not a channel trim knob before the summing stage...
