The PlateMic-S is incredibly versatile and can be used in a wide variety of ways:

-As a wet/dry direct reverb using the speaker pole mount with a "dry" microphone in front.

-As a full-wet direct reverb microphone using the speaker pole mount (great for dreamy background vocals).

-As a room microphone sitting on the floor (great for drums).

-As a traditional post-production reverb using the new internal Stereo Driver System (SDS).

-As a traditional post-production reverb placed in front of your studio monitors as the drivers.

-As a traditional post-production reverb placed in an isolated vocal booth fed with small studio monitors.

-As a "quick and dirty" reverb using headphones placed on the unit acting as drivers (this sounds surprisingly good!).

CVPA PlateMic-S features, details, and specs:

-New internal Stereo Driver System (SDS) allows you to drive the plate using any DAW interface/console/mixer/discrete headphone output! Optionally pair this with an affordable (or high-end) studio headphone amp (not included) and you'll have balanced line-in capability! 1/4" TRS stereo input jack on front panel w/2 x "CLIP" LEDs to monitor if the built-in driver protection diode limiter is active. The SDS was built for easy servicing by a qualified tech; the drivers and all internal components are replaceable.

-Re-designed to withstand the roughest shipping with zero damage to the plate - the demo in this listing was from my test unit AFTER it was vibration/drop-tested in extreme tests meant to simulate intentional dropping, throwing, and even walking on the package - the result was zero damage and the exact same sound quality and test measurements as an untouched unit; rest assured your plate will not be damaged easily!

-Low-noise super high impedance discrete class-A JFET/BJT preamps and transformer balanced output; typical noise floor in a quiet environment is around -80dbfs peak/-100dbfs rms A-weight with my CVP-500 vintage germanium preamps!

-Powered via-phantom power for ultimate portability and ease of use.

-4-position stepped HPF on the front panel for low-freq. control (60/120/240/480hz)
