SPL Audio announces P8 and Pre One microphone preamplifiers

New from SPL Audio – SPL P8 & Pre One featuring eight and two microphone preamplifiers respectively.

With P8 and Pre One, SPL presents two new microphone preamplifiers.

The P8 is equipped with eight identically designed microphone preamplifers. All eight preamps have a discrete design – without ICs, made of individual transistors. This elaborate design, found only in absolute high-end preamps, ensures exceptional sound and unparalleled audio fidelity.

With the optional eight-channel ADAT converter, the purely analog P8 can be easily connected digitally to an audio interface, making it the ideal partner for high-quality multichannel recording sessions.

The Pre One – the newest member of the SPL Series One is equipped with two preamplifiers. Pre One is tuned for an open and transparent sound characteristic. The second preamplifier section not only features an input for microphones, it also features a Hi-Z instrument input – this way instruments like electric guitars, for example, can benefit from the sound of the Pre One.

The shipping of both devices will begin on October 9, 2024.

The recommended retail price for the SPL P8 is €1,799.

The recommended retail price for the SPL P8 with the ADC8 converter is €2.099.

The recommended retail price for the SPL Pre One is €599.
