At the heart of The Lakeside are Soyuz’s proprietary custom-wound transformers on both the input and output, imbuing any sound with rich, harmonic texture. The Class A, fully discrete, through-hole circuitry ensures maximum performance and clarity.

FULL SOUND AND CONTROL

The Lakeside is intentionally designed to be inviting and intuitive, enabling a smooth workflow that easily dials in perfect sound without interrupting the creative process.

The input gain switch sets the signal to the user’s optimal level and preferred amount of saturation in stepped 5dB increments with a satisfying click. The output trim knob has a balanced and smooth response with precise control to fine-tune the level into the next capture stage. With these two knobs, a wide range of sounds can be explored with simple recall settings and can pair multiple Lakeside units for precise stereo matching on dual-mic setups or stereo sources.

The Lakeside is versatile and can provide tasteful color with plenty of clean headroom or can be driven into satisfying dynamic breakup and harmonic distortion that won't be found in any plugin.

HIGH PASS AND SOUND SHAPING

The unique, inductor-based High Pass Filter adds another layer of control and creativity. The sturdy selector switch targets specific frequency points from 40hz to 330hz with a musical resonance going beyond basic tone shaping. This switch quickly sculpts the sound with a natural taper and gentle bump that preserves the original captured feeling and encourages experimentation in the moment. Whether cutting through low-end rumble or adding clarity to a mix, use the filter’s resonances to discover new surprises in any sound.
