Nextmidi Releases Divisimate 2 - Next Generation Orchestration Engine
Divisimate 2 lets you quickly and easily orchestrate your live performance with your virtual instruments in real-time.

Westlake Village, CA - September 10, 2024 - ILIO, a leading distributor of premier virtual instruments and audio processing software, in collaboration with Nextmidi, the German developer of virtual orchestration software, is excited to announce the release of Divisimate 2, the first new version of Nextmidi's flagship product Divisimate. Divisimate 2 introduces powerful, long-awaited features designed to bridge the gap between composing and performing with virtual instruments. Starting September 10, 2024, Divisimate 2 will be available for purchase through ILIO’s extensive worldwide dealer network.

Divisimate 2 - Next Generation Orchestration

The core idea of Divisimate is to split up chords on the keyboard into individual musical voices and then spread them across different instruments in the sequencer. Since every voice can be routed and modified individually, full realistic orchestrations built from virtual instruments can be played and recorded live. Where version 1 allowed to create up to 32 parts at once, Divisimate 2 introduces Multitimbral Ports, utilizing the MIDI Channels of each port to address up to 512 instruments at once.

One of the biggest new additions is the Arpeggiator plugin, which comes with a “Basic” and an “Expert” mode. While the “Basic” mode has all the things that are to be expected from an Arpeggiator, the “Expert” mode opens up a lot of possibilities to build custom phrases, textures and melodies. Another new plugin, the Transformer allows the user to apply realtime operations on incoming notes and controllers.

While Divisimate was only available as a standalone version, Divisimate 2 can also be used as a VST, AU, or AAX plugin in the DAW, much like their recent release, Divisimate Micro.

Other new features include:

Transition Modes
Multipad Editor
Preset Import
Section Headings
Custom Perform Page Numbers
Global Keyswitch Area

“We wanted to really open up what kinds of orchestrations you can create with Divisimate”, co-founder Steffen Brinkmann says. “We’re still discovering new things that can be done with the added features, so we’re excited to see what the Divisimate community comes up with in the next weeks and months.”

Divisimate is available for $249 through ILIO’s extensive worldwide dealer network and https://ilio.com/divisimate-2
