Harness the blistering performance of Trivium’s Alex Bent for your productions. Trivium Drums gives you album-ready metal drums right out of the box, with all the power and precision needed for dense rock and metal mixes.

ÖREBRO, SWEDEN, AUGUST 8, 2024. Bogren Digital releases Trivium Drums, a drum instrument plugin that provides fast and easy access to album-ready drum sounds and performances tailored to modern metal productions. It was developed by renowned producer Jens Bogren (Opeth, Amon Amarth, Arch Enemy) in close collaboration with Alex Bent, drummer of the Grammy-nominated US metal band Trivium. Trivium Drums follows the three recently released Trivium Ampknob guitar amp simulator plugins designed for rhythm, lead, and bass guitars. It is available immediately from select dealers and Bogren Digital's own webshop.

Level up your productions with the drum sound and blistering performance of Trivium’s Alex Bent. Trivium Drums gives you mix-finished metal drums right out of the box, with all the power and precision needed for dense rock and metal mixes. Jens Bogren (Opeth, Amon Amarth, Arch Enemy) has put his proven engineering skills into crafting a perfect and unique sound. 100 MIDI grooves and fills performed by Alex Bent are included so that you can get natural drum performances fast.

Fast and flexible

Trivium Drums was created with one goal in mind — to deliver pro-level drum tracks fast. From the moment you launch the instrument, you have access to Alex Bent’s drum sound, recorded and mixed by Jens Bogren and ready for use in your next song. If you prefer mixing yourself, switch from Processed to Natural, which removes Jens’ mix processing and gives you the drum sounds just as they were originally tracked. Should you need to, open the Mixer tab where you can set the individual drum mic levels, determine the amount of bleed between the channels, add reverb, and switch in the parallel compressor.

Smart tools included

To assist you in creating lifelike drum performances, Trivium Drums includes Bogren Digital’s proprietary Anti-Machinegun feature. The algorithm intelligently adds variation to fast consecutive drum hits to avoid the unnatural machinegun effect that can otherwise occur. Another clever feature is Auto Double Kick, which automatically alternates between two different kick drums during fast kick drum runs.

Alex plays on your song

Alex Bent has recorded 100 MIDI grooves and fills that you can play from within Trivium Drums or simply drag and drop as MIDI files into your DAW session if you prefer that workflow. It’s a great way to get a song idea moving fast and avoid getting stuck with detailed drum programming. You can always fine-tune the drum programming later if the MIDI groove you picked needs a bit of adapting to fit your song. There is also a separate collection of drum fills, which can be particularly difficult to get natural-sounding when you program drums.

Pricing and availability

Trivium Drums is $89, and is available immediately from authorized dealers and Bogren Digital's web store.
