PWM Mantis: Analog & Digital Duality in One Duophonic Synth, Fueled by Exploration
Founded by Paul Whittington, PWM was born from a desire to capture and reproduce the ineffable, interweaving spirits of inspiration and innovation that precede every musician’s lifelong sonic odyssey. Their Mantis hybrid synthesizer was designed in collaboration with the late Chris Huggett, the visionary artist and engineer who cofounded Electronic Dream Plant and whose sought-after synths are mainstays of many musicians to this day. The Mantis channels Huggett’s pension for exploration as digital oscillators collide with analog processing, resulting in a dual-dimensional architecture that merges multitudes of synthesis engineering into a singular duophonic instrument. Paul Whittington joins Sweetwater’s scion of synthesis, Daniel Fisher, for a comprehensive showcasing of this electrifying synth. Check it out!
