HOFA: System Basic

Founded in 1988 as a recording studio, HOFA expanded into one of the largest service providers in the field of audio and media production in the German-speaking world with the Media (1993), College (2005), Acoustics (2007) and Plugins (2010) divisions. HOFA Plugins produces extraordinary audio tools, designed to make working in the studio easier. The IQ-Series plugins, CD and DDP software, and free 4U series are groundbreaking and easy-to-understand tools for better and faster results.
HOFA’s System Basic is the freeware version of the popular EQ, dynamic, and FX toolbox from HOFA. There are 29 plugins available, and these can be used individually (also as inserts in your DAW) or connected to each other. The routing happens automatically in System, with multiband, M/S and dual mono routing always available. 
Users can load more than 150 HOFA presets, that offer a limited range of edit ability. In addition to plugin presets, HOFA System can save entire processing chains. These chains can be used and edited, as long as the presets use parameters that are available in the freeware version. If a chain preset contains plugins that require a special license, it can only be used if it is a factory preset. In this case it isn’t possible to change the routing or other parameters.
