Wednesday November 8, 2023. 05:56 PM , from Premier Guitar
Fresh on the heels of the G3 Reunion of Joe Satriani, Steve Vai and Eric Johnson, comes “The Satch-Vai Tour” launching on March 22, 2024.Satch and Vai’s musical careers have been intertwined since their very early days. Satriani served as Vai’s guitar teacher during their teenage years on Long Island, New York. Their connection has continued to evolve over the years, even sharing record labels, starting at Relativity Records in the late 80’s, to both calling Sony/Epic Records home for a significant portion of the 90’s. Together, they have also frequently teamed up with a third guitarist on multiple occasions throughout the span of 29 years, participating in the semi-annual G3 Tours, both in the U.S. and abroad. “The Satch/Vai Tour is happening! I’m so looking forward to sharing the stage with Steve again,” exclaimed Satriani. “Every time we play together it takes me back to when we were teenagers, eating and breathing music every second of the day, pushing, challenging and helping each other to be the best we could be. I guess we’ve never stopped!” Sharing the excitement, Vai remarked, “Touring with Joe is always a pleasure and an honor. He is my favorite guitarist to jam with, and now we have another opportunity to take it to the stage. I feel as though we are both at the top of our game and that the show will be a powerful celebration of the coolest instrument in the world, the electric guitar!”Tour DatesThe Satch-Vai Tour itineraryMarch 22 Orlando, FL Hard Rock Live-OrlandoMarch 23 Pompano Beach, FL Pompano Beach AmphitheaterMarch 25 Clearwater, FL Ruth Eckerd HallMarch 26 Jacksonville, FL Florida TheatreMarch 27 Atlanta, GA Atlanta Symphony HallMarch 29 North Charleston, SC North Charleston Performing Arts CenterMarch 30 Durham, NC Durham Performing Arts CenterApril 2 Charlotte, NC Belk TheaterApril 3 Richmond, VA Dominion Energy CenterApril 5 Boston, MA Orpheum Theatre BostonApril 6 New York, NY Beacon TheatreApril 7 Waterbury, CT Waterbury Palace TheaterApril 8 Red Bank, NJ Count Basie Center for the ArtsApril 10 Collingswood, NJ Scottish Rite AuditoriumApril 11 Washington, DC Warner Theatre DCApril 13 Northfield, OH MGM Northfield ParkApril 14 Rochester, NY Kodak Center TheaterApril 16 Detroit, MI Fisher TheatreApril 18 Chicago, IL Chicago TheatreApril 19 Cincinnati, OH Andrew J.
