Xfer Records: DeltaModulator

Xfer Records was founded by electronic dance music producer deadmau5 and Steve Duda in 2005 as a platform for music collaborations, and has released plugins such as Serum, Nerve, and Cthulhu. In the collection of free plugins you’ll find the OTT, DeltaModulator, 8BitShaper, DimensionExpander, OP1DrumUtility, and DJMFilter.
This plugin is based on Nintendo’s delta modulation method of signal modulation, as found in the NES console. It achieves a specific bitcrushed sound, and interacts favourably with e-drums and synths.
