Silver Volume B is an additional Volume for the Silver Acqua plug-in suite.

IMPORTANT:

Silver (reverb) must be installed on your computer to use this additional Volume. Silver is a suite of Acqua plug-ins consisting of three FREE players you can install directly from Aquarius.

To install correctly any Silver volume is mandatory to install the Silver FREE first.

Remember to update Silver Player before to install additional packs and if you have already installed Volume A, remember in order to:

1- Update Silver Player

2- Upgrade Silver Volume A

3- Install Silver Volume B

About Silver:

Silver is a suite of Acqua plug-ins that includes three FREE players available in the following formats: VST, VST3, AAX, and AU, dedicated to emulating reverbs of physical spaces and sampled equipment.

Silver is an amazing project that has taken a long time to design and develop and has paid off considerably; given the incredible results obtained, we think we have given birth to a new generation of cutting-edge reverb plug-ins.

Silver consists of:

1- Silver; the main FREE player (standard version) featuring fine-tuning controls, LP and HP filters, plus a three-band EQ applied to the reverberated signal. It contains, by default, four different emulated physical spaces.

2- Silver Mini; a 'mini' FREE version of the Silver player, which includes the same features as Silver except for the mid-band EQ and a smaller display than the main version.

3- Silver Lite; an alternative FREE version of the player that includes the same features of Silver but does not include the LP and HP filters and the three-band EQ.

Silver Volume B - What you get

Silver Volume B includes 15 different emulations from a vintage Stereo Plate Reverb under the name/category 'Ebony 240'.

- To facilitate understanding of the emulated hardware, where possible, we use product names already released as an Acqua plug-in to aid in the identification of the original sampled unit.

- None of Silver's Volume B emulations are part of already released products; they are samples of hardware not included in the plug-in suites currently released by Acustica.

Details

This 'Ebony 240' emulation recreates a vintage, true-stereo plate reverb unit, famous for being a newer and smaller size version of its 'big brother' 140 plate reverb. It was designed in the '70s for recording studios that could not afford the space for the giant 140 but didn't want to compromise on reverb quality.

Without going too deep into the technical details of the original device, the principle behind the unit's reverberation is based on the use of the well-established flat, tensioned plate. In the course of technical improvement and a significant reduction in its size, the material used in the vibrating plate was changed. This rare piece of gear uses an electroplated gold foil of great purity (24-carat "coin gold") with a thickness of only 18j.jm (.00071") and dimensions 270x290 mm (10.6 "xl 1.4"). This foil is mounted in a frame under tension, excited by a driver, and sensed by a pick-up system.

The reverberation of this emulation is lush; it sits nicely in the mix and retains its magic even when used very subtly. The resulting sound tends to be a bit darker and less bright than other plates of the same brand.

In the 'Spaces category,' there are available (under the menu voice 'Ebony 240') 15 different emulations (from the reverb Time 1 to Large). There are three other choices under the 'Preset category' according to the desired reverb time (Short-Medium-Large).

How to download, install, and authorization the Silver and Silver Volume B (Commercials):

To install Silver's additional Volumes correctly, it is mandatory to download the Silver (Reverb) first.

Silver comes as a single item in the Aquarius Desktop application, including Silver, Silver Mini, and Silver Lite.

- Create a user account (if you do not have one yet) on our website

- Download and Install Aquarius, our products manager, for either Mac or PC

- Log in to the Aquarius application using your username (email) and password.

- Click on the purchased page, and scroll down until you find Silver (Reverb).

- Select the correct plug-in format for the installation from the drop-down menu.

- The Aquarius application will download, install, and authorize the commercial product automatically.

- Click on the purchased page, and scroll down until you find Silver Volume B (Reverb)

- Click on the install button.

- Select the correct plug-in format for the installation from the drop-down menu.

- The Aquarius application will download, install, and authorize the commercial product automatically.

- Repeat the operation for the libraries you want to install.

How to download, install, and authorize Silver and Silver Volume B (Trial):

- Create a user account (if you do not have one yet) on our website

- Download and Install Aquarius, our products manager, for either Mac or PC

- Log in to Aquarius using your user email and password

- Click on the purchased page, and scroll down until you find Silver (Reverb).

- Select the correct plug-in format for the installation from the drop-down menu.

- The Aquarius application will download, install, and authorize the commercial product automatically.

- Type the product name in the 'search' field inside Aquarius to find the '(trial)' version of the Additional Volume, then click on the thumbnail or on the 'Install' button. This will take you to the product page (the trial version of a product is also visible in the 'related products' section on the right)

- Select the right plug-in format according to the DAW you are using and click 'Install.'

- Aquarius will download, install,and authorize the Silver Volume A Trial (Reverb) automatically.

- Run your DAW. You're set!
