Fender is unveiling their Vintera Series — vintage-style guitars made in Ensenada, Baja California in Mexico. This series encompasses Fender’s most popular models — Strats, Teles, Precision Basses, Jazzmasters, Jaguars, Mustangs, Mustang Basses, and Jazz Basses — in a myriad of shapes and sizes. Available in both Vintage and Modified configurations, all Vintera Series instruments boast Tim Shaw–designed pickups.
Vintage models span the ’50s to the ’70s, with period-correct specifications for each era. Era-specific pickups and neck profiles, along with vintage frets, make these instruments sound and feel like their vintage counterparts — it’s like playing a carefully preserved classic!
Modified models look like vintage instruments but include modern updates that contemporary guitarists will appreciate, such as hot-wound pickups and modern neck carves, and medium-jumbo frets. What’s more, modern switching puts these instruments firmly in the 21st century.
All models are available in a wide array of vintage-inspired colors, with vintage-correct neck tinting to give them a classic Fender look. Best of all, these guitars start at $899! If you’re a traditional player that craves the feel of a vintage-style Fender, but American Original and Custom Shop guitars are out of your reach, then these are the perfect guitars for you.
