Apogee FX Rack plugins go Mac native

Friday May 10, 2019. 02:58 AM , from MacOSX Audio
Apogee’s premium plugins (previously only available in Apogee FX Rack for Apogee hardware) are now available as native AU/VST/AAX effects. This release includes all of Apogee’s current plugins: Pultec EQP-1A, Opto 3-A, ModEQ 6, ModComp, along with the new Pultec MEQ-5. Crafted by the same team that designs all Apogee hardware and software products, Apogee FX plugins promise superior sound quality and performance. The vintage hardware is so accurately modeled, it’s been endorsed by Steve Jackson of Pulse Techniques, maker of Pultec hardware. Use the plugins individually in your DAW, or create chains in the FX Rack for easy recall. And if you’re using an Apogee Ensemble or Element series interface, you can link Apogee FX Rack in your DAW to hardware DSP FX in your Apogee interface while recording to experience near-zero latency and simple operation with DualPath Monitoring.

Apogee FX native plugins are available now, ranging from $99 for the Opto 3-A compressor up to $499 for the Complete bundle (saving $296). They require macOS 10.12.6 or later, an AU, VST, or AAX plugin host, and a free iLok account. Apogee hardware and iLok USB dongle are not required.
