We're choosing Bryce Dessner's 'Haven' from his upcoming album El Chan as our THURSDAY TRACK PICK this week.“'Haven' was written for two pianos and two electric guitars and is woven out of very simple fragmented melodic ideas that are played on each instrument and offset, just slightly, to create a kaleidoscopic effect of rhythm and harmony,' Dessner tells us. 'The piece, while deceptively simple sounding, is extremely virtuosic to perform and an exciting challenge for all of us.
