Healthy Engage Selects Vidyo to Power Oncology Patient Collaboration Platform

Wednesday February 13, 2019. 09:16 PM , from Digital Pro Sound
HACKENSACK, N.J.–(BUSINESS WIRE)–lt;a href=”https://twitter.com/hashtag/healthyengage?src=hash” target=”_blank”gt;#healthyengagelt;/agt;–Vidyo, the leader in embedded real-time video solutions, today announced
that Healthy Engage, a first-of-its-kind oncology focused
patient-centered mobile collaboration platform that brings together
patient engagement, financial affordability, advocacy, and assistance
networks, has selected vidyo.io to embed real-time video communications
into its mobile app.

The Vidyo-enabled cancer patient engagement application will enable
oncology care givers and advocacy networks to better address the
changing expectations, preferences and behaviors of cancer patients and
their families, offering enhanced customer service, convenience and cost
effective care. Embedded into the Healthy Engage app, Vidyo’s
enterprise-grade video quality, HIPAA compliant-ready capabilities, and
patented routing technology offers providers and patients alike a
seamless and consistent user experience via multi-party video calls over
low bandwidth situations, particularly in remote locations.

“Our goal is to empower consumers to actively influence their personal
health journey, through assessment, informed choices and most
importantly collaboration,” said Ravi Seshadri, Co-Founder of Healthy
Engage. “Our app will improve transparency with regard to cost of care,
assisting consumers to make informed choices during pre-enrollment and
treatment.”

According to Laura Stevens McElearney, former COO of Innovative Oncology
Business Solutions and Program Director of the Community Oncology
Medical Home (COME HOME) CMMI grant, “cancer patients can actively
contribute to the quality and cost effectiveness of their care, given
enhanced patient and family engagement. The industry needs a patient
engagement platform that can leverage mobile and machine learning
technologies to extend the reach of triage pathways into the patient’s
home.”

“Healthy Engage’s selection of vidyo.io to embed real-time video into
its app validates Vidyo’s strategic direction to open our platform to
third-party developers,” said Sam Waicberg, SVP of Business Development,
Vidyo. “Real-time video is an important component of delivering an
amazing patent experience. Extending our platform across patient
engagement workflows for Healthy Engage customers is a perfect example
of how Vidyo provides a truly differentiated experience.”
