2getheraudio announces Cheeze Machine 2

2getheraudio announced today the immediate availability of a new freeware plugin inspired by Big Tick Audio’s Cheeze Machine, one of the most popular freeware string machine plugins, originally released circa 2002. The update uses the Qubiq Audio struQture synthesizer and includes an expanded oscillator section, new presets, new effects, and support for 64 bit VST, AU, AAX DAWs. Best of all, it’s free of charge at the 2getheraudio website.

“Big Tick’s original Cheeze Machine went viral due to its great sound, ease of use, and low CPU load. I’m excited to say we were able to maintain all of that even while adding more oscillators and a new convolution reverb”, stated Jennifer Hruska, CEO of 2getheraudio. “Cheeze Machine 2 is a perfect alternative to other expensive, overly complicated, and processor hungry string synths out there. It’s my go-to string box.”

Cheeze Machine 2’s oscillator section brings the power and warmth of hardware vintage string machines back, with options for modifying the pulse width, shape, brightness and tuning. Options for doubling, adding an octave or sub oscilllator are also included. Any presets can be customized with the built-in Ensemble, Phaser, Vibrato and Reverb effects. Amplitude and filter envelopes are also available for shaping the sound. Not surprisingly, all these options give rise to other great vintage sounds such as basses, leads, pads and brass. Over 60 sounds are included.

More info, demos, and downloads of Cheeze Machine 2 can be found on the 2getheraudio website at 2getheraudio | Professional Music Production Software.
