Unseen Interview with ARP 2600 Co-inventor, Dennis P Colin

Tuesday January 8, 2019. 11:07 PM , from Keyboard Magazine
One of the final interviews reveals formative experiences.Last November we unfortunately lost one of the great synthesizer pioneers, Dennis P Colin (1942-2015). However, the documentary crew for Bright Sparks was there shortly before his death to capture an intimate interview about his involvement with ARP, including co-inventing the seminal ARP 2600 synth. Now the Bright Sparks project has released a free outtake of Colin’s interview that was a little too esoteric for the topic of the movie, but nonetheless very interesting. In this 15-minute video, you’ll hear about Colin’s formative experiences that first got him interested in music and electricity and which also had convinced him of the existence of some kind of afterlife.
