I am announcing the release of xglucid 0.3.1; free cross-platform configuration software for the RS-232 version of the Lucid ADA8824 Converter (*Linux users may also configure the midi version of the ADA8824). Although many owners of the RS-232 Lucid ADA Converter use the device's dip switches for configuration, putting the device in 'remote' mode (DIP Switch 1 down) and configuring it via software has several added advantages: - The ability to invidually control the attenuation of each analog input/output channel. - The ability to toggle digital input channels 1/2 to SPDIF or AES. A serial connection to the Lucid ADA8824 is required and can be accomplished with a widely available and inexpensive USB-to-serial converter. xglucid is released under the GPL Version 3 license. My hope is that this software will be useful for others and will keep some of these fine converters in production. xglucid 0.3.1 Downloads: OSX Download: https://github.com/danmechanic/gluci...ucid-0.3.1.dmg Windows10 Download: https://github.com/danmechanic/gluci....1/xglucid.exe (Linux users are expected to know how to use pip kfhkh) More information: glucid.org If you find this software useful, please consider donating $1 via glucid.org to let me know.
